This is a list of the major Catholic Worker-related university archival holdings that we know about. Dorothy Day-Catholic Worker Collection (Marquette University)
This collection comprises more than 150 cubic feet, including the personal papers of Dorothy Day, Peter Maurin, and others involved in the movement; records of past and present Catholic Worker communities; photographs; audio and video tapes of interviews, talks, television programs, and peace demonstrations; and a wide variety of publications. Archive of William Miller/Catholic Worker Papers (Saint Thomas University)
Among the materials included in the Miller papers are Dorothy Day's journals (years: 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1972) transcribed from the original handwritten journals, Dorothy Day manuscript "Biography of Peter Maurin", typed notes of articles in the Catholic Worker 1933-1967 (notes deal with Pacifism , World War II, the Depression, Racism, AntiSemitism, Labor), notes taken from letters to Dorothy Day and to "the Catholic Worker" (1933-1965), notes from letters to Dorothy Day , prior to founding of the Catholic Worker (1917-1933), notes from Journals of Dorothy Day (1917-1933), notes from personal interviews with former and current Catholic Worker members conducted by Miller in the 1960's. Ade Bethune Collection (College of St. Catherine)
The current holdings of the collection include: correspondence, original manuscripts of books, articles and lectures; original and published writings and over 2,000 drawings; memorabilia, sketchbooks, and photographs; some 400 small wood engraved blocks; 100 audiotapes and 500 slides; and single artifacts of wood, metal, paint, glass and clay -- all the work of Ade Bethune, Catholic Worker artist. Fritz Eichenberg Collection (Yale University Arts of the Book Collection)

Catholic Peace Fellowship Records (University of Notre Dame Archives)
Manuscripts of talks and articles, organizational material for protest activities, newspaper and magazine clippings, press statements, photographs, and letters, including correspondence with Daniel and Philip Berrigan,Thomas Merton, James Forest, Dorothy Day, Thomas Cornell, George McGovern, and Robert F. Kennedy. The University of Notre Dame Archives also has holdings for Pax Christi USA, Sheed & Ward (both Office Files and Personal Papers), and Commonweal, which may be of interest to Catholic Worker researchers. Ammon Hennacy Papers (University of Utah)
The Ammon Hennacy Papers (1823-1970, bulk 1945-1970) comprises the personal papers and publications of Hennacy (1893-1970). Included are correspondence from his daughters, letters to Hennacy's wife, Joan Thomas, from her family, and letters from friends in sympathy of Hennacy's death. Also included are marriage, birth, baptism, and divorce certificates, as well as Hennacy's posters, flyers, and articles against war. Anti-war materials by people other than Hennacy are also included. Also present in the collection are the original manuscript for Hennacy's book, The One-Man Revolution in America (1970), which was published posthumously; scrapbooks of news clippings from 1951 to 1966; and drawings and paintings by Joan Thomas.
